The Building Process

The process of designing and building a new school, or a major renovation to an existing school, is shared with the Ministry of Education. 

 

Based on the project rankings within the Ministry of Education's Top 10 Major Capital Requests list, the Ministry reviews requests and approved projects, which kicks off the building process. Approval from the Ministry is required at each step in the process in order to proceed to the next step. All major capital projects are fully grant funded by the Ministry of Education and follow their Capital Manual.
