“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve Prairie Valley School Division as Board Chair and I would like to thank returning and new board members for their support,” Kotylak said. “Prairie Valley is making significant strides in improving learning opportunities for all students and we are excited to continue this work alongside our dedicated employees, parents and guardians and School Community Councils.”
Kotylak was first elected to the Prairie Valley Board of Education in 2005 and has served as Board Chair since 2012. She has also served on numerous provincial boards focusing on a wide range of education issues. Kotylak strongly believes in the importance of the board’s role to ensure Prairie Valley communities have a voice in decisions about public education.
Terry Berglund was first elected to the Prairie Valley Board of Education in 2014 and has served as Vice Chair since 2023. Before her election to the Prairie Valley board, Berglund worked as a speech language pathologist and student services professional in southeast Saskatchewan for 34 years.
“I am honoured to serve as Vice Chair for the Prairie Valley Board of Education,” Berglund said. “I am proud of the progress our school division is making towards the priorities in our strategic plan, This Is Us – Wicihitowin, and I look forward to continuing this work to ensure Prairie Valley students have the best possible learning opportunities.”
Kotylak and Berglund’s terms are scheduled to run until November 2025.
